Fearrington Homeowners Association

request for approval of change to A property

Homeowners or occupants of properties that are not part of Service Groups*, who plan to make changes to their properties, must first have such plans approved by their local covenant committee, in accordance with the covenants that applied at the time they purchased the property. To accomplish this the owner or occupant must complete a “Request for Approval/Support of Improvements Form” and submit it to the local covenants committee. (The names and phone numbers of the members of the local covenants committees are listed in the front of the current edition of the Fearrington Village Directory.)

You can download a copy of this request form by clicking here. (See NOTE, below.) The form needs to be accompanied by such plans and specifications as are necessary to completely describe the proposed change.

*Over time, as the various sections or phases have been developed within Fearrington Village, two different sets of relationships have been established between individual property owners and their association with other property owners. All property owners are members of the Fearrington Homeowners Association. In addition, the property owners in certain phases are also members of a “service group.” At present these service groups encompass the properties in:

Countryhouse V

 Lots 301-503

Weathersfield VI

 Lots 508-596F

Camden Park

 Lots 1000-1227

Bush Creek Townhomes

 Lots 1300-1351

Bradford Place

 Lots 1354-1397

The declarations or covenants applicable to the sale of each property in Fearrington Village provide that where the properties are a part of a service group, the service group is the successor to Fitch Creations as the legal authority for enforcing the covenants that apply to those properties. Requests for changes to these properties should be addressed to the local service group.

For the remaining properties, the Fearrington Homeowners Association is the successor to Fitch Creations as the legal authority for enforcing the covenants.
