DRIVER'S
LICENSE:
Licenses may be applied for at the North Carolina Drivers Examiner's
Offices in Carrboro (Carrboro Plaza, NC 54 West approximately 2
miles west of South Greensboro Street and Smith Level Road) and
Siler City (1103 NW 2nd Ave.). Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through
Friday (check in before 4 p.m.). Phone: 929‑4161 (Carrboro) and

LIBRARY:
The Pittsboro Memorial Library,
The Pittsboro Memorial Library, a branch of the
Chatham County Library on U.S. 64 West, is part of a regional
library system. There is no charge for a library card, and one may
request books from anywhere in the regional system. Hours: Mon., 2-6
p.m.; Tues., 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Wed – Fri., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sat., 9
a.m.-5 p.m.; closed Sunday. Phone: 542‑3524.
The library
sponsors a Bookmobile that comes to Fearrington twice a month: First
Monday, 1-3:30 p.m.; third Monday, 2:30-4 p.m., Village Center
parking lot. It also is at Cole Park every Wednesday, 2-5:30 p.m. go on-line at
http://catalog.cncrl.com.
VOTING:
Registration is at the Board of Elections, 112
East St., Pittsboro. (Route 64 East) Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday
through Friday. Phone: 542‑8206. Fearrington is in the West
Williams Precinct, the polling place for which is the Gathering
Place.

CCB branch. Maps of Chatham County are available from the County
Planning Commission Office at 80A East St., Pittsboro (U.S. 64 East)
and at local gas stations.

at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners Room, Courthouse Annex, Pittsboro.
The County Planning Board usually meets the first Tuesday at 7 p.m.
