About Fearrington Cares

Mission statement: Fearrington Cares provides services for the health and well being of the Fearrington community.

SERVICES: Fearrington Cares was established on the premise that neighbors could lend one another a hand when need arises. We provide Fearrington residents with information and support services to help them optimize their health care and successfully navigate the health care system. Fearrington Cares is an all-volunteer organization comprised of Village residents together with our knowledgeable, experienced registered nurse manager. Our services are provided free of charge to all Fearrington Village residents.

GOVERNANCE: Fearrington Cares is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2000 and is governed by a nine-member board of directors, three of whom are elected annually.

Fearrington Cares Calendar

Please note: The following programs take place in the Fearrington Cares Center unless otherwise noted.

·         AA – Every Wednesday – 7pm

·         Blood Pressure Clinic – Every Wednesday, 10am – Noon

·         Grief Support Group –Every third Friday, March 21 and April 18, 10am

·         Parkinson’s Support Group – 2^nd and 4^th Wednesdays, May 14th and 28th ; and June 11th and 25th, 11am. Locations to be announced.

·         “Balance screening” – May 8 and May 22nd – You must make an appointment
